Pleased with her product Ellie started giving out samples of her candles to family and friends. Encouraged by the positive feedback Ellie decided to market her candles on Facebook and soon generated significant orders for her candles. As momentum continued to build, Ellie made the decision to take on a stall at Kirkby Market and early signs of demand were encouraging. Subsequently, word of mouth recommendation has ensured the business has continued to thrive.
Following a proactive approach by Knowsley’s Business Growth Team Ellie decided to take advantage of the free specialist support available to local businesses through the Business Growth Programme. Looking to capitalise on her social media presence Ellie opted to receive social media support and was allocated specialist consultant, Alistair Clarke from Tick the Publicity Box CIC.
Following Alistair’s guidance Ellie has taken a more strategic approach to her social media marketing. Ellie has streamlined her marketing to ensure all signage and company logos on display at her market stall mirror the visuals on the company website.
