Liverpool FC training ground
Liverpool Football Club are now well underway with construction work on its new state-of-the-art Training Complex in Kirkby. Representing an investment of £50 million the Club will bring its Academy and first team training facilities together for the first time in the club’s history – and they have chosen Knowsley for that investment.
The new 9,200sqm training complex will provide an elite performance centre for the first team and a state-of-the-art training area for the club’s development squads, alongside new pitches, two gyms, a full-size sports hall, pool, hydrotherapy complex and specialist sports rehabilitation suites. There will also be dedicated TV studios, press conference facilities and office accommodation.
As part of the project the Club will also be redeveloping the adjacent Eddie McArdle playing fields to provide improved facilities for the local community including five new community football pitches, changing rooms, pedestrian, dog walking and cycle paths, car parking and enhanced landscaping and tree planting.
Once complete, Knowsley will be home to the first team training operations of both Liverpool and Everton football clubs.
